I never want to be a “Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda” Girl.

Welcome to ‘The Francy Life’. Meet Cristina Francy.
(see all her photos below)

I never want to be a “Should of, Could Of, Would Of Girl”, said Cristina Francy of the FRANCY LIFE.  See how this Modern Day Mom became a paid Fashion & Beauty Blogger by living out her dreams and inspiring other moms.  She said, “I never want to loose my sense of self in becoming a mom”.  I want to continue to maintain my love of fashion and style while trying new things, take new adventures and challenging myself to explore more of life each year!

Life gets busy, so I’m selective about who I do Blog posts on.  But Cristina inspired me.  Made me perk up my ears, and nod my head ‘yes, yes, yes….”  to every word she was saying.

I met Cristina just over a year ago when I first opened our new San Diego Studio Location.  She was a wife and new mother of a very cute 8-month-old named Cole.   At first she seemed like your run of the mill everyday mom with her SUV packed full, child on her hip as she walks, comfy legging outfit on but with a stylish Louis tote bag on her shoulder.

She came to me with a dream and a goal.  She said, “I love being a mom and wife, but I want to make sure I still stay true to ME.  I want to be comfortable but still be ‘everyday fashionable’ and occasionally wear that eye catching dress & heels that reminds me of the woman that I am.  I want to continue to try new things that fill my soul and inspire me.  I plan to live out my dreams while living in my busy mommy reality”.  So she started her own Stylish Mommy Blog for the Modern Day Mom called ‘The Francy Life’ (by Cristina Francy).

WHERE TO START WITH A WOMAN WHO TAKES ON SO MUCH OF THE WORLD AT ONCE?

Cristina involves herself with so much and has so much to share that I knew if we didn’t focus in, we would wind up with a hodge podge photo shoot of all sorts of miscellaneous looks that didn’t tell a clear story of who she was.

So we started out with a PERSONAL BRANDING SESSION where we talked about what she wanted to share, how she wanted to inspire other moms to live out their dreams in their own busy realities. As we talked, she was telling me about her fabulous recipes, her new home building and design project, her fashion & beauty blog and the companies that were in contact with her about promoting their brands.  She talked about the business she runs with her husband, her ‘Girls Night’ out stress relievers, and most importantly she talked about the center of her universe, baby Cole.  With so many things going on, we talked about how to focus in on the most important elements that she could make a difference with in inspiring other moms.  She had plenty of photos with baby Cole, so we decided to focus the photo shoot on looks that represent her many faucets of being a Modern Day Mom.

We worked through the branding workshop sheets to refine her brand message and visual content. Then developed a strong, fluid (photo) shoot sequence with specific looks, poses and persona’s that we wanted to capture in her photo shoot which looked like this:

  1. Head shots (professional & glamourous to introduce herself for her online presence)
  2. Stylish Professional Look
  3. Fashion & Style looks
  4. Photographing outfits & accessories she was getting paid to promote
  5. ‘Vanity Fair’ Modern Sophisticated Cover Story Look
  6. Dressy-Casual Everyday mom look
  7. ‘Date Night Out’ look

Here’s how her photo shoot unfolded……
